Teachers play a very important role in a student's life. It’s a teacher who guides a student through his or her career. Therefore, it is very significant to be adequately equipped with resources that help teachers become ideal role models for students.

To achieve this, B.Ed. courses were introduced, which provide professional training in teaching and its various aspects. The National Council of Educational Research and Training has been assigned different responsibilities covering almost every aspect of teacher education and quality improvement.

The National Policy on Education (1986) and its revised version (1992) states that the status of teachers reflects the socio-cultural philosophy of society.

Situated in the vicinity of Dhanbad, Rajeev Gandhi Memorial Teachers Training College began its academic session in 2010. The institution is affiliated with Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The college is co-educational and has modern infrastructure facilities including spacious classrooms, science laboratories, language labs, library, computer room, recreation room, auditorium, and a spacious playground.
